WV House Democrats Kitchen Table Tour 2025

West Virginia House Democrats to Embark on Kitchen Table Tour

Join us at a stop near you!

West Virginia House Democrats are heading out on a Kitchen Table Tour to hear about the most important issues facing West Virginians. The tour will focus on kitchen table issues like electric rates, child care, healthcare, clean drinking water, and education.

“The legislative session only lasts 60 days, and while most delegates have gone back to their regular lives, we've chosen to invest our time in the community listening to people and having real conversations about what's important to them,” said House Minority Leader Sean Hornbuckle (D-Cabell).

Hornbuckle continued: "No one can deny the job losses, outrageous power bills, and lack of substance under this Republican supermajority. Now more than ever, it’s important for us to truly represent the voice of the people. We're inviting everyone — Democrats, Independents, Republicans and everything in between — so we can connect and continue this fight with you to get what you deserve."

After 11 years of Republican control of the legislature, West Virginia’s population continues to decline, and jobs continue to be lost. Instead of spending time on social issues that divide us, House Democrats are focused on finding solutions to real problems and making it possible for all West Virginians to stay, rebuild, and succeed.

“For far too long, the legislature has prioritized politicians over the people. West Virginia families have watched year after year as nonsensical political theater disguised as policy comes out of their legislature. We want to discuss and tackle real issues that impact real people. West Virginians deserve to have their voices heard and take their proper seat at the table. This is the opportunity to do just that, and we welcome their participation and their input,” said House Minority Whip Shawn Fluharty (D-Ohio).
