As a reminder, business will begin on Monday morning with a General Session to elect At-Large DNC and Executive Committee Members and ratify Chair Martin’s Standing Committee appointments.
There will be a second General Session on Wednesday to vote on additional party business. We anticipate an early afternoon end on Wednesday to allow members to fly out that evening. Please note the schedule is subject to change.
Chair’s Welcome Reception
On behalf of Chair Martin, you are invited to a reception on Sunday, August 24 at 6:00 p.m. CDT. We hope you can join us for a short speaking program, light drinks and appetizers, and exploring the Fair!
As a reminder, admission tickets to the Minnesota State Fair will be covered for DNC Members, Member Nominees, State Party Executive Directors, and Council Officers.
If you would like to bring a guest, you will be responsible for purchasing your guest's ticket. State Fair tickets are $17 if you purchase online before August 20th or $20 during the Fair. Your guest must be registered here, or they will not be able to access the event space.
The DNC will provide transportation between the hotel and the reception for DNC Members, Council Officers, Executive Directors, and registered guests. We strongly encourage members and guests to ride the bus to the Fairgrounds. We will send out a separate email with logistical details and necessary information ahead of the reception on Sunday.
Party Business
In addition to the Caucus and Council elections, the membership will conduct necessary party business at the upcoming meeting, including electing Chair Martin’s At-Large DNC and Executive Committee Members, ratifying Chair Martin’s Standing Committee members, and approving amendments to the DNC Charter and Bylaws.
You can find the final list of At-Large Member nominations and Standing Committee appointments here.
The full membership will also vote on the Standing Committee reports, including the Credentials Committee’s resolution on the challenge regarding the seating of Alabama’s DNC Members, adopted at their meeting on August 14. You can view a recording of the meeting here and find the Credentials Committee report for consideration of the full membership here.
The Chairman has proposed eight amendments, and we have received one additional proposed amendment from Members to the DNC’s Charter and Bylaws that were properly filed. You can view the proposed amendments submitted here. In accordance with our process, the Rules and Bylaws Committee will first consider the proposed amendments and will make a recommendation for consideration by the full DNC.
You’ll find the resolutions that were properly submitted to the Office of the Secretary and Party Affairs by the deadline and that will be considered by the Resolutions Committee on Tuesday, August 26 here. If you would like to add your name to any resolutions as a co-sponsor, please email PartyAffairs@dnc.org prior to the commencement of the meeting of the Resolutions Committee, where the resolution will be considered. All co-sponsors will be listed on the resolutions presented for consideration at the full DNC Meeting.
Notice of Caucus and Council Elections

You can find the officer positions that will be elected by each Caucus and Council here, along with a list of qualified candidates that have filed as of today's notice, here.
